On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with

the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the attached Regional

District of Okanagan-Similkameen Land Use Contract Termination Regulation is made.

REGIONAL DISTRICT OF OKANAGAN-SIMILKAMEEN

LAND USE CONTRACT TERMINATION REGULATION

Definitions

1 In this regulation:

"Act" means the Local Government Act ;

"land use contract" means Land Use Contract No. LU-6-D, authorized on February 22, 1973 by Regional District

Amendment Bylaw No. 169, 1973 and entered into on March 9, 1973;

"Regional District" means the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen.

Exception –

section 547 of Act

2 As an exception to

section 547 (2) of the Act, the deadline for the Regional District

to adopt a zoning bylaw that will, on June 30, 2024, apply to the land that is subject

to the land use contract is extended to June 30, 2024.

Exception –

section 548 of Act

(1) As an exception to

section 548 (3) (

a) of the Act, the deadline for the Regional

District to adopt a bylaw under

section 548 (2) of the Act to terminate the land use

contract is extended to June 30, 2024.

(2) Section 548 (3) (b) (

i) of the Act does not apply to a bylaw described in

subsection (1).

Repeal

4 This regulation is repealed on June 30, 2024.
