CHAPTER

An Act to amend The Local Improvements Act (Assented to April 27, 1981) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:

Short title This Act may be cited as The Local Improvements Amendment Act, 1981. Rev. Stat. c.L-33 The Local Improvements Act is amended in the manner set forth in this Act.

Section amended Paragraph of subsection 4(1) is repealed and the following substituted: “6 subject to

section 22, the renewal or replacement of any work mentioned in this

section notwithstanding that the lifetime of the existing work has not expired”. New

section

Section is repealed and the following substituted: “22 Where renewal or replacement of an existing work is undertaken in accordance with paragraph of subsection 4(1), the municipality shall assume and pay the special assessments charged for that renewal or replacement against the lots fronting or abutting on the work until the expiration of the period within which those lots are specially assessed for the existing work”.

Section amended

Section is amended by striking out “where otherwise authorized under” and substituting “subject to the other provisions of”. REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN Printed by the authority of THE QUEEN’S PRINTER
