Statute: Agricultural Marshland Conservation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture dated November 22, 2006, and pursuant to

Section 7 of

Chapter 22 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Agricultural Marshland Conservation Act, is pleased to: (

a) reappoint Brad Crewe, Aboiteau Superintendent, Resource Stewardship Branch, Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture, Truro, Colchester County, as Secretary of the Agricultural Marshland Conservation Commission for a three year term commencing March 1, 2007; (

b) determine, as a condition of appointment, Brad Crewe shall be bound by the principles and purposes of the Corporate Code of Conduct for Civil Servants and

Chapter 4 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1991, the Members and Public Employees Disclosure Act; (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Brad Crewe and indemnify him from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of activities in relation to his appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
