1997 BILL First Session, 24th Legislature, 46 Elizabeth II THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF ALBERTA BILL SPECIAL W ASTE M ANAG EM ENT CO RPO RATIO N ACT REPEAL ACT THE MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION First Reading Second Reading Committee of the Whole Third Reading Royal Assent Bill BILL SPECIAL WASTE MANAGEMENT CORPORATION ACT REPEAL ACT ( Assented to , 1997) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, enacts as follows: Repeals SA The Special Waste Management Corporation Act is repealed. 1982 cS-21 .5 fransitional On the coming into force of this Act, :oming into orce (

a) all money held by the Corporation and all proceeds from the disposition of any rights, property or assets of the Corporation shall be transferred to the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Fund under the Environmental Protection and Enha.ncement Act; (

b) the Crown in right of Alberta is liable for the obligations and liabilities of the Corporation; (

c) without limiting the generality of clause (b), all agreements entered into under

section of the Special Waste Management Corporation Act are continued until they expire or are sooner terminated as provided for in the agreements. and the agreements shall be administered by the Minister of Environmental Protection. 3 This Act comes into force on Proclamation. 1 Title: 1997 (24th, 1st) Bill 2, Special Waste Management Corporation Act Repeal Act($)
