WHEREAS City Savings & Trust Company (hereinafter referred to as "the company") was incorporated by Private Act of the Province of Alberta, which Act, cited as

chapter 104, Statutes of Alberta, 1962 , was assented to on April 5, 1962;

AND

WHEREAS the company was a trust company within the meaning of The Companies Act ;

AND

WHEREAS the company, by its petition, prayed that it should be authorized to carry on business in Manitoba;

AND

WHEREAS its prayer was granted, and resulted in the enactment of

An Act respecting the City Savings & Trust Company , assented to April 16, 1964;

ATTENDU QUE la « City Savings & Trust Company » (ci-après dénommée la « Compagnie ») a été constituée en vertu d'une loi privée de la province d'Alberta,

chapitre 104 des « Statutes of Alberta, 1962 », sanctionnée le 5 avril 1962;

ATTENDU QUE la Compagnie était une compagnie de fiducie au sens de la loi intitulée « The Companies Act »;

ATTENDU QUE la Compagnie a demandé l'autorisation d'exercer ses activités au Manitoba;

ATTENDU QUE sa demande a été reçue et qu'il en a résulté l'adoption d'une loi intitulée «

An Act respecting the City Savings & Trust Company » sanctionnée le 16 avril 1964;

THEREFORE HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

Authority to carry on business continued

1 The authority of City Savings & Trust Company to carry on business in the Province of Manitoba is continued.

Prorogation
