Interpretation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and the Minister of Justice dated February 13, 2025, and pursuant to

Section 672.38 of

Chapter C-46 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985, the Criminal Code , and

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act , is pleased, effective March 29, 2025, to: (

a) appoint Brian Affleck of Pictou County, Ryan Clements of Queens County and Siobhan Doyle of Lunenburg County as members of the Nova Scotia Review Board under the Criminal Code, each for a term of three (3) years; (

b) reappoint Christine Mosher of Halifax Regional Municipality as a member of the Nova Scotia Review Board under the Criminal Code for a term of three (3) years; and (

c) order that Brian Affleck, Ryan Clements, Siobhan Doyle and Christine Mosher be remunerated for their service in the amount of $75 per hour and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in fulfilling their duties as members, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service.
