OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated February 26, 2004, and pursuant to

Section 7 of

Chapter 114 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crown Lands Act, is pleased to: (

a) authorize the Minister of Natural Resources to purchase on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen in right of the Province of Nova Scotia, a parcel of land containing approximately 41,419 acres+, situated in northern Hants County, from MacTara Limited, its heirs, executors, successors or assigns for the purchase price of $14,000,000, the exact amount to be determined by survey. This land is more fully shown coloured yellow on

Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation. The purchase is subject to the condition that MacTara Limited, its heirs, executors, successors or assigns, be able to certify title to this land in a manner deemed sufficient by the Department of Justice; and (

b) authorize the Minister of Natural Resources to prepare and have executed such documents as may be required to achieve the purpose of this Order.
