B.C. Reg. 2/2002, deposited January 16, 2002, pursuant to the

LOTTERY ACT [section 7], CRIMINAL CODE [section 207],

INTERPRETATION ACT [section 22] and the FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION ACT [section 14 (2)]. Order in Council 6/2002, approved and ordered January 11, 2002.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that

(

a) the authority delegated to the British Columbia Gaming Commission under

section 7 of the Lottery Act , R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 278, to make regulations for the purposes of

section 7 (2) (

c) or (d), or both

section 7 (2) (

c) and (d), of that Act is rescinded,

(

b) the Gaming Proceeds Distribution Regulation, B.C. Reg. 362/97, is repealed,

(

c) the Mount Pleasant Commission Retention Regulation, B.C. Reg. 1/93, is repealed, and

(

d) the Gaming Fees Regulation, B.C. Reg. 286/98, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix. — R. COLEMAN, Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General; G. CAMPBELL, Presiding Member of the Executive Council.

Appendix

section 1 of the Gaming Fees Regulation, B.C. Reg. 286/98, is amended

(

a) by repealing the definition of "commission" , and

(

b) by adding the following definition:

"branch" means the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch of the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General.

section 2 (1) and (4) is amended by striking out "commission" and substituting "branch".

3 The

Schedule of Fees is amended under Column 1 in Item 3 by striking out "commission" in both places and substituting "branch".
