B.C. Reg. 265/2006, deposited September 21, 2006, pursuant to the MOTOR VEHICLE ACT [Sections 4 and 210]. Order in Council 679/2006, approved and ordered September 21, 2006.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Administrator, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective October 15, 2006, the

Schedule to the Motor Vehicle Fees Regulation, B.C. Reg. 334/91, and

section 19.14 of the Motor Vehicle Act Regulations, B.C. Reg. 26/58, are amended as set out in the attached Appendix.

Appendix

1 Item 2 of the

Schedule to the Motor Vehicle Fees Regulation, B.C. Reg. 334/91, is amended in Column 1 by repealing paragraphs (e) (i) (

A) and (

B) and substituting the following:

(

A) a foreign state that has an office located in British Columbia,

(

B) a consular post, as defined in the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, set out in

Schedule II of the

Foreign Missions and International Organizations Act (Canada), that has an office located in British Columbia,

(

C) an international organization that has been provided with privileges and immunities under

section 5 of the

Foreign Missions and International Organizations Act (Canada) and has an office located in British Columbia,

(

D) an office of a political subdivision of a foreign state that has been granted privileges and immunities under

section 6 of the

Foreign Missions and International Organizations Act (Canada) and is located in British Columbia,

(

E) a foreign representative or the spouse or a dependent of a foreign representative if

(

I) the foreign representative, spouse or dependent is resident in British Columbia and is not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, as defined in the

Immigrant and Refugee Protection Act (Canada), and

(II) in relation to an office referred to in clauses (

A) to (D), the foreign representative, spouse or dependent has been granted privileges, immunities or benefits under the

Foreign Missions and International Organizations Act (Canada) that have not been withdrawn.

Section 19.14 of the Motor Vehicle Act Regulations, B.C. Reg. 26/58, is amended by adding the following paragraphs:

(

d) a foreign state;

(

e) a consular post, as defined in the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, set out in

Schedule II of the

Foreign Missions and International Organizations Act (Canada);

(

f) an international organization that has been provided with privileges and immunities under

section 5 of the

Foreign Missions and International Organizations Act (Canada);

(

g) an office of a political subdivision of a foreign state that has been granted privileges and immunities under

section 6 of the

Foreign Missions and International Organizations Act (Canada) that have not been withdrawn.
