OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health and Wellness dated November 21, 2023, and pursuant to

Section 16 of

Chapter 197 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Health Services and Insurance Act , and

Section 77 of

Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2010, the Finance Act , is pleased, effective on and after November 22, 2023, for the purpose of enabling the Nova Scotia Health Authority to acquire two Ethos linear accelerator treatment units powered by HyperSight imaging technology, to: (

a) approve the making of a grant by the Minister of Health and Wellness on behalf of the Province to the Nova Scotia Health Authority; and (

b) authorize the Nova Scotia Health Authority to enter into a net debt obligation by acquiring tangible capital assets, and to execute such agreements or other documents as may be required in connection with such transaction.
