chapter R-10.2 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 1975, is amended by add- ing after

section the following: 1 La

Loi sur la location de locaux d’habitation, cha- pitre R-10.2 des Lois du Nouveau-Brunswick de 1975, est modifiée par l’adjonction de ce qui suit après l’arti- cle 24 : Exception Exception 24.01(1) If, because of domestic violence, intimate partner violence, sexual violence or criminal harassment, a tenant believes that his or her own safety, or that of a dependent child of the tenant, is at risk if the tenancy continues, the tenant may terminate the tenancy by serv- ing on the landlord 24.01(1) Le locataire qui croit, en raison d’une situa- tion de violence familiale, de violence entre partenaires intimes, de violence sexuelle ou de harcèlement crimi- nel, que sa propre sécurité ou celle d’un enfant à sa charge sera compromise si la location se poursuit peut la résilier en signifiant au propriétaire : (
