OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated January 14, 2014, and pursuant to

Section 7 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act , subsection 10(1) of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act , and all authority in him vested, is pleased to, effective February 24, 2014: (

a) revoke the appointment of Paul LaFleche as Acting Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Acting Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture; (

b) appoint Brian Rogers as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture; (

c) designate Brian Rogers as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act ; (

d) fix and determine the salary of Brian Rogers to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Deputy Ministers; and (

e) direct that Brian Rogers shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier.
