1 The SafeRoads Alberta Regulation (AR 224/2020) is

amended by this Regulation.

Section 2.1(2) is amended by striking out "August 31, 2025"

and substituting "August 31, 2026".

REPEAL REGULATION

1 The Application in Respect of Regional Health

Authorities Regulation (AR 161/95) is repealed.

2 The Operation of Approved Hospitals Regulation

(AR 247/90) is repealed.

3(1)

Section 1 comes into force on the coming into force of

section 30(2) of the Health Statutes Amendment Act, 2025.

(2) Section 2 comes into force on the coming into force of

section 30(3) of the Health Statutes Amendment Act, 2025.

Provincial Health Agencies Act

ALBERTA HEALTH SERVICES PROVINCIAL

HEALTH CORPORATION AMENDMENT REGULATION

section 1.975 of the Provincial Health Agencies Act.

1 The Alberta Health Services Provincial Health

Corporation Regulation (AR 213/2024) is amended by this

Regulation.

Section 23 is amended by adding the following after

subsection (3):

(3.1) The AHS Provincial Health Corporation is authorized to give

an indemnity to the City of Calgary with regard to the Seton Tunnel,

located adjacent to the South Health Campus, under 45 St. SE,

(

a) under the existing agreement with the City of Calgary

assigned or transferred to the AHS Provincial Health

Corporation by a transitional order, and

(

b) under any new agreement with the City of Calgary, subject to

the prior approval of the responsible Minister as to the terms

and conditions of the indemnity.

Section 28(6) and (10) are amended by striking out

", regional health authorities".

Section 34(2)(d)(ii) is repealed.

5 Sections 3 and 4 come into force on the coming into

force of

section 45(17) of the Health Statutes Amendment

Act, 2025.

Provincial Health Agencies Act

CANCER REGISTRY AMENDMENT REGULATION, 2025 (NO. 1)

section 11.1 of the Provincial Health Agencies Act.

1 The Cancer Registry Regulation (AR 71/2009) is amended

by this Regulation.

Section 3(2) is amended

(

a) by renumbering clause (

a) as clause (a.3) and by

adding the following before clause (a.3):

(

a) obtained from approved hospitals and out-patient clinics

and programs operated or delivered by hospital

operators,

(a.1) obtained from provincial health agencies, provincial

health corporations, health services delivery

organizations or other health services providers,

(a.2) obtained from clinics and programs operated or

delivered by provincial health agencies, provincial

health corporations, health services delivery

organizations or other health services providers,

(

b) by repealing clause (

b) and substituting the

following:

(

b) obtained from a facility as defined in the Mental Health

Act,

(b.1) obtained from a public hospital as defined in the Health

Facilities Act,

3 The following is added after

section 9:

Expiry

10 For the purpose of ensuring that this Regulation is reviewed

for ongoing relevancy and necessity, with the option that it may be

repassed in its present or an amended form following a review, this

Regulation expires on November 30,

Section 2 comes into force on the coming into force of

section 45(15) of the Health Statutes Amendment Act, 2025.

Provincial Health Agencies Act

CANCER REGISTRY AMENDMENT REGULATION, 2025 (NO. 2)

section 11.1 of the Provincial Health Agencies Act.

1 The Cancer Registry Regulation (AR 71/2009) is amended

by this Regulation.

Section 1 is repealed and the following is substituted:

Definitions

1 In this Regulation,

(a) "applicable Minister" means

(

i) the sector Minister where the cancer registrar is a

provincial health agency,

(ii) the responsible Minister where the cancer registrar is a

provincial health corporation, or

(iii) the oversight Minister where the cancer registrar is

another person or body;

(b) "cancer registrar" means the provincial health agency,

provincial health corporation or other person or body

designated under

section 11.1(1.1) of the Act;

(c) "reportable cancer" means a disease listed in the

International Classification of Diseases for Oncology

published by the World Health Organization, as amended

from time to time.

Section 3(2)(a.3) is repealed.

4 This Regulation comes into force on the coming into

force of

section 18(17) of the Health Statutes Amendment

Act, 2024 (No. 2).

PROVINCIAL HEALTH AGENCY MEMBERSHIP

AMENDMENT REGULATION

1 The Provincial Health Agency Membership Regulation

(AR 164/2004) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 3 is amended

(

a) in subsection (1) by striking out "or regional health

authority";

(

b) by repealing subsection (2);

(

c) in subsection (2.1) by striking out "or subsection

(2)(b)";

(

d) in subsection (3) by striking out "or regional health

authority".

3 Sections 8 and 9 are repealed.

4 The following is added after

section 11:

Expiry

11.1 For the purpose of ensuring that this Regulation is reviewed

for ongoing relevancy and necessity, with the option that it may be

repassed in its present or an amended form following a review, this

Regulation expires on November 30, 2035.

5 This Regulation, except sections 3 and 4, comes into

force on the coming into force of

section 45(17) of the

Health Statutes Amendment Act, 2025.

Workers' Compensation Act

WORKERS' COMPENSATION AMENDMENT REGULATION

1 The Workers' Compensation Regulation (AR 325/2002) is

amended by this Regulation.

2 The following is added after

section 19.1:

PTSD presumptions - prescribed workers

19.2 The following classes of workers are prescribed for the

purposes of

section 24.2(2) and (3) of the Act:

(

a) regulated members of the College of Registered Nurses of

Alberta under the Health Professions Act, with respect to

their employment as registered nurses, certified graduate

nurses or graduate nurses, who

(

i) hold practice permits under that Act,

(ii) are registered on one of the following registers:

(

A) registered nurse register;

(

B) certified graduate nurse register;

(

C) provisional register, as a graduate nurse;

(

D) courtesy register, as a registered nurse, and

(iii) directly provide patient care in the course of their

employment as registered nurses, certified graduate

nurses or graduate nurses;

(

b) regulated members of the College of Registered Psychiatric

Nurses of Alberta under the Health Professions Act who hold

practice permits under that Act and directly provide patient

care in the course of their employment;

(

c) students who

(

i) are registered in a program of studies at an educational

institution in Alberta or elsewhere that

(

A) leads to an undergraduate or graduate certificate,

diploma or degree in nursing, and

(

B) meets the educational requirements of the College

of Registered Nurses of Alberta or the College of

Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta for

registration as a regulated member of the College

of Registered Nurses of Alberta on the registers

referred to in clause (a)(ii) or as a regulated

member of the College of Registered Psychiatric

Nurses of Alberta, and

(ii) directly provide patient care

(

A) under a clinical learning program in Alberta as part

of the program of studies in which they are

registered, or

(

B) in the course of their employment in Alberta.

Alberta Regulation 191/2025

Water Act

WATER (MINISTERIAL) AMENDMENT REGULATION

section 169(2) of the Water Act.

1 The Water (Ministerial) Regulation (AR 205/98) is

amended by this Regulation.

Schedule 3 is amended in

section 1 by adding the

following after clause (I):

(

m) a diversion of water of up to 100 cubic metres per day

for the purpose of watering riparian vegetation for a

riparian restoration project, if

(

i) there is no adverse effect on

(

A) the aquatic environment,

(

B) a household user, licensee or traditional

agricultural user, or

(

C) any parcel of land,

and

(ii) where the source of water is frequented by fish,

(

A) the rate of pumping at the point of diversion

does not exceed 0.02 cubic metres per

second, and

(

B) fish-screening measures are in place at the

point of diversion.
