OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated September 1, 2010, and pursuant to subsection 5(3) of
Chapter 159 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Family Court Act, is pleased to: (
a) revoke the appointment of the Honourable John Comeau as Chief Judge of the Family Court; (
b) appoint His Honour Patrick H. Curran as Chief Judge of the Family Court for a term effective on and after September 21, 2010 and extending to January 31, 2013; and (
c) order that His Honour Patrick H. Curran shall receive no salary or per diem payments in respect of the exercise of the jurisdiction, powers and authority of the Chief Judge of the Family Court for the Province of Nova Scotia.
