OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Heritage dated August 4, 2006, and pursuant to
Section 6 of
Chapter 89 of the Acts of 1980, the Gaelic College Foundation Act, as amended by
Chapter 17 of the Acts of 1999,
An Act to Amend
Chapter 89 of the Acts of 1980, the Gaelic College Foundation Act, is pleased to: (
a) appoint Ronald A. MacDonald of North Sydney, Cape Breton Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Governors of the Gaelic College Foundation for a term of two years commencing September 21, 2006; (
b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Ronald A. MacDonald and indemnify him from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
