Section of the Act is repealed and the following is substituted: 2 L’article de la Loi est abrogé et remplacé par ce qui suit : 80(1) Immediately after the preliminary lists of electors are prepared for an electoral district, the Chief Electoral Officer shall prepare a statement setting out the total num- ber of electors entered on the lists for that electoral district and shall provide a copy of the statement to the official agent of each candidate in the electoral district. 80(1)

Le directeur général des élections doit, immédia- tement après que les listes électorales ont été dressées pour une circonscription électorale, préparer un relevé indi- quant le nombre total d’électeurs inscrits sur les listes de cette circonscription et en remettre une copie à l’agent of- ficiel de chaque candidat de cette circonscription. 80(2) For the purposes of sections and 78, the number of electors in an electoral district shall be deemed to be the number set out in a statement prepared in accordance with subsection (1). 80(2) Pour l’application des articles et 78, le nombre d’électeurs d’une circonscription électorale est réputé être le nombre indiqué au relevé visé au paragraphe (1). 1 80(3) During a general election, the Chief Electoral Of- ficer shall determine the total number of electors entered on preliminary lists of electors in the Province from the statements prepared in accordance with subsection (1) and shall prepare a certificate of that number, which he or she shall publish in The Royal Gazette after copies of it have been filed with the chief agent of each registered political party. 80(3) Au cours d’une élection générale, le directeur gé- néral des élections détermine le nombre total d’électeurs inscrits sur les listes préliminaires d’électeurs dans la pro- vince d’après les relevés préparés conformément au para- graphe (1), et il établit un certificat constatant ce nombre, qu’il fait publier dans la Gazette royale après en avoir re- mis des copies à l’agent principal de chaque parti politique enregistré.
