OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Acting Minister of Environment and Labour dated January 3, 2001, pursuant to subsections 68(1), (2),(3), (4), (5), (7), (10) and (11) of
Chapter 7 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1996, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, is pleased to: (
a) reappoint Michael J. Hewitt of Northwest Cove, Lunenburg County, to the list of persons designated to act as a chair of an appeal panel for a term of office of four (4) years commencing February 2, 2001 and ending February 1, 2005; (
b) reappoint Frank MacKinnon of Upper Tantallon, Halifax Regional Municipality, as an employee representative to the list of persons from which an appeal panel may be designated for a term of office of three (3) years commencing February 2, 2001 and ending February 1, 2004; (
c) reappoint the following persons as employer representatives to the list of persons from which an appeal panel may be designated, each for a term of office of three (3) years commencing February 2, 2001 and ending February 1, 2004: Rhona Green of East Bay Highway, Cape Breton Regional Municipality; Harris McNamara of Havre Boucher, Antigonish County; and Robert Darton of Wellington, Halifax Regional Municipality; (
d) continue to fix the remuneration of Michael J. Hewitt at four hundred dollars ($400.00) for each day of attendance to the business of appeal panels in his capacity as chair plus reasonable expenses incurred in the course of carrying out his duties; and (
e) continue to fix the remuneration of Frank MacKinnon, Rhona Green, Harris McNamara and Robert Darton at one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) for each day of attendance to the business of an appeal panel at the instruction of the chair or the appeal panel office, in addition to reasonable expenses incurred by them in the course of carrying out duties for an appeal panel.
