1 Bill 57 Mr. Weadick BILL 57 2009 COURT OF QUEEN’S BENCH AMENDMENT ACT, 2009 ( A s s e n t e d t o , 2 0 0 9 ) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, enacts as follows: Amends RSA 2000 cC-31 1 The Court of Queen’s Bench Act is amended by this Act. 2 The following is added after

section 7: Judges are justices of the peace 7.1 Every judge is, by virtue of the judge’s office, a justice of the peace for the purposes of an application made under

section 492.1 or 492.2 of the Criminal Code (Canada) when that application is made in conjunction with an application under

Part VI of the Criminal Code (Canada).
