Middle Harbour Beach Designation

made under subsection 5(1) of the

Beaches Act

R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 32

O.I.C. 92-1187 (December 8, 1992), N.S. Reg. 254/92

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural

Resources dated the 18th day of November, A.D., 1992, pursuant to

Section 5(1) of

Chapter 32

of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Beaches Act , is pleased to designate as a

beach an area of land lying landward from the mean high watermark of Middle Harbour Beach,

Aspy Bay, in the County of Victoria, as described in

Schedule “A” and shown outlined in bold

line on the copy of Provincial Crown Lands Record Centre Plan No. E-15-31 marked

Schedule

“B”, both Schedules attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation.

Schedule “A”

All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land and land covered by water situate, lying and being at

Middle Harbour Beach, in the County of Victoria, Province of Nova Scotia shown on Plan of

Survey (Field Plot P-104/92) signed on the 26th day of August A.D. 1992 by Athol C. Grant,

Nova Scotia Land Surveyor and filed in the Provincial Crown Lands Record Centre,

Dartmouth, as plan No. E-15-31, the said lot of land and land covered by water being more

particularly described as follows:

Beginning at Survey Marker V3848 situate (by grid azimuths referenced to the Nova Scotia 3°

Modified Transverse Mercator Projection, Zone 4, Central Meridian 61° 30' West Longitude)

307° 52' 30", a distance of 4,026.216 metres from Nova Scotia Coordinate Monument (NSCM)

No. 15681 having coordinate values of 5 193 434.029 metres in northings and 4 583 259.726

metres in eastings;

Thence (from the place of beginning) 161° 04' 42", a distance of 49.575 metres to Survey

Marker V3849;

Thence 194° 08' 20", a distance of 114.682 metres to Survey Marker V3850;

Thence 146° 33' 39", a distance of 452.596 metres to Survey Marker V3847;

Thence 44° 53' 25", a distance of 131.984 metres to Survey Marker V3846;

Thence 75° 14' 06", a distance of 113.135 metres to Survey Marker V3845;

Thence 313° 13' 01", a distance of 603.778 metres to the place of beginning.

Above lot land containing an area of 8.5 hectares more or less.
