OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Economic Development dated July 12, 2008, and pursuant to Order in Council 2005-373, and to Sections 59(A)(a), 59C(1) and 1(

A) of

Chapter 365 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Provincial Finance Act, is pleased to: (

a) authorize Waterfront Development Corporation Limited to proceed with planning and implementation of the Tall Ships Nova Scotia Festival 2009, including entering into agreements and/or financial commitments in accordance with a budget amount not to exceed $5,743,500.00 and generally as outlined in

Schedule "A" annexed to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation of the Minister of Economic Development dated July 12, 2008, and incidental thereto approve an increase in funding to Waterfront Development Corporation Limited for the period ending March 31, 2010 in an amount not to exceed $780,000.00; (

b) approve an agreement between Waterfront Development Corporation Limited and Tall Ships Atlantic Challenge Limited in the form outlined in

Schedule "B" attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation of the Minister of Economic Development dated July 12, 2008; and (

c) authorize the Minister of Economic Development to execute such agreements, documents and instruments as may be required to give effect to this Order.
