Statute: Energy and Mineral Resources Conservation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Energy and Mineral Resources Conservation Act dated November 5, 1998, pursuant to

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act, and pursuant to Sections 6 and 7 of

Chapter 147 of the said Revised Statutes, the Energy and Mineral Resources Conservation Act, is pleased to: (

a) accept the resignation and revoke the appointment of P. Carey Ryan as a member and Chair of the Energy and Mineral Resources Conservation Board, effective October 19, 1998; (

b) appoint Garry Hoffman, Director of Transportation and Utilization, the Petroleum Directorate, to be the Chair of the Energy and Mineral Resources Conservation Board commencing October 19, 1998; (

c) appoint Eugene Chown, Director of Public Safety, Department of Labour, to be Vice-Chair of the Energy and Mineral Resources Conservation Board, effective October 19, 1998; (

d) appoint Clive Oldreive, Director of Regional Offices, Department of the Environment, as a member of the Energy and Mineral Resources Conservation Board, effective October 19, 1998; and (

e) revoke the appointment of D. Jack MacDonald as an Acting Member of the Energy and Mineral Resources Conservation Board.
