Statute: Solemnization of Marriage Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations dated August 28, 2006, and pursuant to

Section 14 of

Chapter 436 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Solemnization of Marriage Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint the following persons as Deputy Issuers of Marriage Licenses, effective September 7, 2006: Karen J. Kieley, Research and Statistical Officer, Vital Statistics; Susan Acker, Visitor Information Services Officer with Halifax Regional Municipality; Keri Jones, Visitor Information Services Officer with Halifax Regional Municipality; (

b) revoke the appointments of the following persons as Deputy Issuers of Marriage Licenses, effective September 7, 2006: Linda Carson, which appointment was made by Order in Council 95-40 dated January 17, 1995; John Harvie, which appointment was made by Order in Council 88-655 dated June 21, 1988; Sandra Bezanson McGrath, which appointment was made by Order in Council 96-276 dated April 16, 1996; Beverly Billard, which appointment was made by Order in Council 99-493 dated October 13, 1999; and Grant Potter, which appointment was made by Order in Council 94-1040 dated December 20, 1994.
