OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated March 26, 1999, pursuant to
Section 12 of
Chapter 103 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, as amended by
Section 36 of
Chapter 19 of the Acts of 1990, the Corrections Act, is pleased to authorize the Minister of Justice, on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen in right of the Province of Nova Scotia, to execute a Development Agreement, respecting the establishment and designation of a correctional facility for male and female adult offenders, which includes space provided for a mentally ill offender unit, a forensic facility and two transition houses, on land known as the Jack Lake land assembly, within the jurisdiction of the Department of Justice, Correctional Services Division, in substantially the form attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation as
Schedule "A", and in due course to execute a Lease for such correctional facility for male and female adult offenders, which includes space provided for a mentally ill offender unit, a forensic facility and two transition houses, in substantially the form attached as
Schedule "B" to the Development Agreement, with such amendments as the Minister may deem appropriate, together with such other documents and agreements as may be required to give effect to this Order, including without in any way limiting the generality of the foregoing, agreements with the Department of Health.
