OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated August 31, 2021, and pursuant to Sections 2A, 4 and 4A of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act , is pleased, effective August 31, 2021, to: (

a) direct that the Department of Lands and Forestry be renamed the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables; (

b) assign all affairs and matters relating to energy and mines which have heretofore been assigned by or under any Act of the Legislature to the Department of Energy and Mines or the Minister of Energy and Mines to the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables or the Minister of Natural Resources and Renewables, as the case may be; and (

c) abolish the Department of Energy and Mines.
