1 The Wildlife Regulation (AR 143/97) is amended by this

Regulation.

Schedule 6 is amended

AMENDMENT REGULATION

1 The Wildlife Regulation (AR 143/97) is amended by this

Regulation.

Section 3(mm) is amended by striking out "of the Fish and

Section 30 is amended

(

a) in subsection (7.2)(

a) by striking out "Table 1" and

substituting "Schedule 15";

(

b) in subsection (17) by striking out "258, 300, 310 to

Section 77(

Section 130 is amended

Requirement to report and deliver wildlife

130(1) This

section does not apply with respect to wildlife

possessed under a fur farm licence, a zoo permit, a wildlife

rehabilitation permit, an import permit, a research permit or a

domestic cervid farm licence.

(

b) in subsection (3)(

b) by striking out "an appointed

officer or a person designated by the Minister" and

substituting "the Service or a person designated by the

Director of Wildlife";

(

c) in subsections (3.1)(

Schedule 13 is amended

Schedule 15 is amended

(

a) by repealing sections 1, 2 and 3 and substituting

the following:

1(1) In this Schedule, specific groups of dates establishing

open seasons to hunt specified animals are subject to the noted

limitations.

(2) Where open seasons are set out in this

Schedule in Tables,

those seasons, where so indicated, are subject to those

footnotes that apply to them.

(3) Wherever subsection (2) applies for open seasons to hunt

(

a) big game, the footnotes are set out immediately under

the Table reflecting the open big game seasons, and

(

b) fur-bearing animals or upland game birds, the footnotes

are contained in sections 15 and 16.

2(1) Tables 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E and 1F establish, subject to

the noted limitations, the open seasons in WMUs or portions of

WMUs indicated for the hunting of the kinds of wildlife

specified in those Tables by specifying the dates during which

they may be hunted.

(2) In the case of trophy sheep, separate seasons are

established for hunting by residents, non-residents and

non-resident aliens.

3(1) Open seasons for hunting big game that are not set out as

archery only are open to hunting by lawful means, subject to

the Act and this Regulation, and those seasons are referred to

as "General Seasons".

(2) Tables 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E and 1F are to be read subject to

section 4(2).

(

b) by repealing

section 4(2) and substituting the

following:

(2) Notwithstanding subsection (1) and anything in Tables 1A,

1B, 1C, 1D, 1E and 1F, where by virtue of Table 4 an

additional open season for a specific kind of big game animal

occurs concurrently with an open season set out in any of

Tables 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E or 1F, the rules normally applicable

with respect to archery only seasons or general seasons

designated such in Table 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E or 1F are to be

treated as deviated from as a result of the application of

section

5 to the extent that

section 5 differs as to the weapons that

would otherwise be allowed by Table 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E or

1F, as the case may be.

(

c) in

section 5

(

i) in clause (i)(ii) by adding "or the County of Leduc,"

after "County of Strathcona";

(ii) in clause (

m) by striking out "September 4 to

September 28" and substituting "September 3 to

September 27";

(iii) in clause (

o) by striking out "November 28 to

November 30" and substituting "November 27 to

November 29";

(

d) in

section 8(2)(

Student Financial Assistance Act

1 The Student Financial Assistance Regulation

(AR 298/2002) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 8(3)(

Section 15 of

Reviews

15(1) A student may apply to the Minister for review within 90

days after the date the student received notice of a decision that

(

a) the student's application for financial assistance is refused,

(

b) less financial assistance is awarded than the amount applied

for, or

(

c) an amount of financial assistance previously awarded has

been reassessed by the Minister under

section 14(3).

(2) The application for review under this

section must

(

a) be submitted in writing, and

(

b) include the following:

(

i) the applicant's name, current address and telephone

number;

(ii) the decision reviewed;

(iii) the reasons for requesting the review;

(iv) any other relevant information requested by the Minister

or that the applicant wishes considered.

(3) The Minister may, after reviewing the decision and considering

any information considered relevant, make any decision that the

Minister could have made on the original application.

Section 26(3) of

Schedule 2 is repealed and the following

is substituted:

(3) Where a person has outstanding a guaranteed loan or a risk

shared loan with a credit institution that was transferred to the

Government, the Minister may convert that transferred loan to a

direct loan.

Section 27 of

Schedule 2 is repealed.

Section 30 of

Schedule 2 is amended

(

a) by repealing subsection (3) and substituting the

following:

(3) The Minister may not make a payment under this

section

unless the information required by the Minister is provided.

Definitions

1 In this Regulation,

(a) "Act" means the Municipal Government Act;

(b) "public utility" means a system or works used to provide

water for public consumption, benefit, convenience or use.

Application of Act

2(1) Subject to subsection (2), sections 43 to 47 of the Act apply in

respect of a utility service provided by Sheep Creek Regional Utility

Corporation.

(2) Section 45(3)(

b) of the Act does not apply in respect of a public

utility owned or operated by Sheep Creek Regional Utility

Corporation.

Exemption from Public Utilities Act

Part 2 of the Public Utilities Act does not apply in respect of a

public utility that

(

a) is owned or operated by Sheep Creek Regional Utility

Corporation, and

(

b) provides a utility service within the boundaries of a

municipality that is a shareholder of Sheep Creek Regional

Utility Corporation.

Dispute resolution

4 If there is a dispute between a regional services commission and

Sheep Creek Regional Utility Corporation with respect to

(

a) rates, tolls or charges for a service that is a public utility,

(

b) compensation for the acquisition by the commission of

facilities used to provide a service that is a public utility, or

(

c) the commission's use of any road, square, bridge, subway or

watercourse to provide a service that is a public utility,

any party involved in the dispute may submit it to the Alberta Utilities

Commission, and the Alberta Utilities Commission may issue an order

considers appropriate.

Provision of extra-provincial services

5 Sheep Creek Regional Utility Corporation shall not provide any

utility services outside of Alberta without the prior written approval of

the Minister.

Expiry

6 This Regulation is made under

section 603(1) of the Act and is

subject to repeal under

section 603(2) of the Act.

In all cases, the authorized scope of practice includes the indicated

upper limit of plant capacity.

(1) Applies to transportable power plants at drilling sites.

(2) Stationary plants of this capacity or type require overall

supervision only, rather than both overall and continuous supervision.

(3) Used for the sole purpose of underground thermal flooding on oil

fields.

(4) Plants of this capacity or type are allowed general supervision.

(5) Applies to power plants that are allowed reduced supervision

under

section 2.1(2). These power plants do not produce steam and

use thermal liquid under pressure of a blanketing gas not exceeding

700 kPa or uses a water-glycol mixture with a minimum of 40%

glycol.

(6) Applies to power plants that are allowed reduced supervision

under

section 2.1(1).

(7) Applies to historical boilers, excluding locomotives operating on a

railroad.

(8) Plants of this capacity or type are allowed reduced supervision.

SENIORS BENEFIT ACT GENERAL AMENDMENT REGULATION

section 6 of the Seniors Benefit Act.

1 The Seniors Benefit Act General Regulation (AR 213/94)

is amended by this Regulation.

Section 8.1 is amended

(

a) in clause (

c) by striking out "$25 800" and

substituting "$26 200";

(

b) in clause (

d) by striking out "$41 900" and

substituting "$42 500";

(

c) in clause (d.1) by striking out "$21 400" and

substituting "$21 800";

(

d) in clause (d.2) by striking out "$33 700" and

substituting "$34 300".

3 The

Schedule is amended

(

a) in

section 4.1

(

i) in subsection (2)

(

A) by striking out "December 2012" and

substituting "June 2014";

(

B) by repealing clauses (

a) and (

b) and

substituting the following:

(

a) by adding $315 to the monthly

accommodation charge for a private room as

determined under

section 3(1.1) of the

Nursing Homes Operation Regulation

(AR 258/85), and

(

b) by subtracting from the amount calculated

under clause (

a) the monthly average of the

previous year's total income, not including

any supplementary accommodation

assistance component of the benefit received

in the previous year, of the applicant and, if

applicable, the applicant's spouse or adult

interdependent partner.

(ii) in subsection (3) by striking out "$560" and

substituting "$600".

(

b) in the Table

(

i) in

Part 1 by repealing the middle "Percentage"

column and substituting the following in

sequential order:

4 Sections 2 and 3(b)(

i) and (ii) come into force on July 1,

Section 3(

a) and (b)(iii) come into force on June 1, 2014.

Regulation (AR 208/2008) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 96 is amended by striking out "June 30, 2014" and

substituting "June 30, 2017".

Marketing of Agricultural Products Act

HATCHING EGGS AMENDMENT REGULATION

and approved by the Agricultural Products Marketing Council on April 11, 2014

pursuant to sections 26 and 27 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act.

1 The Hatching Eggs Regulation (AR 280/97) is amended

by this Regulation.

Section 1(1)(f)(iii) is repealed.

Section 13.1 is amended by striking out "species"

wherever it occurs and substituting "breed".

Section 19 is amended by adding the following after

subsection (12):

(12.1) Notwithstanding subsection (12), the Board may extend the

time under subsection (11) for placement of the increase in breeder

quota if the Board is of the opinion that extenuating circumstances

exist that warrant the extension.

Section 20(4) is repealed.

Section 21(1) is repealed and the following is

substituted:

Quota limit

21(1) The Board shall not allow in excess of 6.5% of the total

provincial allocation to be held, directly or indirectly, by a person.

Section 48 is amended by striking out "May 31, 2014" and

substituting "September 30, 2019".
