Statute: Police Act Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated August 10, 2016, and pursuant to

Section 26B of

Chapter 31 of the Acts of 2004, the Police Act , and

Section 45.79 of

Part VII of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act , R.S.C., 1985, c. R-10, is pleased, effective September 27, 2016, to: (

a) re-appoint Ronald MacDonald, Q.C. as the Nova Scotia Civilian Director of the Serious Incident Response Team for a term of five years; (

b) designate Ronald MacDonald, Q.C. as the designated authority for the purposes of Parts VII.1 and VII.2 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act ; (

c) fix the salary of Ronald MacDonald, Q.C. at $144,767.00 annually, plus adjustments equivalent to those provided to non-bargaining unit civil servants; and (

d) direct that Ronald MacDonald, Q.C. shall receive all of the customary benefits of a civil servant, including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan.
