Statute: Elevators and Lifts Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Environment and Labour dated August 3, 2004, pursuant to

Section 19 of

Chapter 4 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 2002, the Elevators and Lifts Act, and

Section 33 of N.S. 46/2003, the Elevators and Lifts General Regulations, made under

Section 23 of

Chapter 4 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 2002, the Elevators and Lifts Act, is pleased to: (

a) fix the remuneration for members of the Elevators and Lifts Appeal Board at a rate of $150.00 per day for each day a member necessarily attends to the business of the Board, in addition to actual and reasonable expenses as may be incurred by a member in the discharge of his duties; and (

b) fix the remuneration for the Chair of the Elevators and Lifts Appeal Board at a rate of $400.00 per day for each day the Chair necessarily attends to the business of the Board, in addition to actual and reasonable expenses as may be incurred by the Chair in the discharge of his duties.
