OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Economic and Rural Development dated January 21, 2010, and pursuant to Order in Council 2005-373 dated August 19, 2005, and paragraphs 105, 108 and 109 of the Articles of Association of Waterfront Development Corporation Limited is pleased to: (

a) designate George Archibald of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as the Chair of the Board of Directors of Waterfront Development Corporation Limited for a term commencing March 2, 2010 and ending November 30, 2010; (

b) authorize the payment of $150.00 per day to the members of the Board for work involving the Waterfront Development Corporation Limited; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against George Archibald, and indemnify him from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment as a Director of Waterfront Development Corporation Limited, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
