OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated November 27, 2008, and pursuant to

Section 7 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act,

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act,

Section 2 of

Chapter 377 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Superannuation Act, and

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, and all authority in him vested, is pleased, effective December 8, 2008, to: (

a) revoke the appointment of Robert C. Fowler as Deputy Minister of Treasury and Policy Board; (

b) revoke the appointment of Greg Keefe as Deputy Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations; (

c) revoke the appointment of Kevin Malloy as Assistant Deputy Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations; (

d) appoint Greg Keefe as Deputy Minister of Treasury and Policy Board and Chief Information Officer for the Province of Nova Scotia; (

e) appoint Kevin Malloy as Deputy Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations; (

f) fix and determine the salaries of Greg Keefe and Kevin Malloy to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister to the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan; (

g) designate Greg Keefe and Kevin Malloy as deputy heads within the meaning of the Civil Service Act; (

h) direct that Greg Keefe and Kevin Malloy shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan; and (

i) designate Greg Keefe and Kevin Malloy to be and to have been employees for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act.
