OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal, dated January 19, 2021, and pursuant to
Section 18 of
Chapter 371 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Highways Act and
Section 11 of
Chapter 452 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Surplus Crown Property Disposal Act is pleased to: (
a) extinguish the right of the public to use that portion of the public highway, identified as Parcel A, containing an area of 0.255 hectares (2,550 sq. metres), more or less, located at or near Shubenacadie, Hants County, more particularly described in
Schedule “A” and shown on
Schedule “B” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (
b) authorize the conveyance of Parcel A to Ballam Farms Limited of Shubenacadie, Hants County for the consideration of $2,480 plus HST of $372 for a total purchase price of $2,852; (
c) authorize the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal to make and execute a Deed of Conveyance in such form as the Minister determines to affect the conveyance of the land herein above described, and (
d) authorize the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal to execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purpose of this Order.
