B.C. Reg. 313/2008 , deposited November 7, 2008, pursuant to the COMMERCIAL TRANSPORT ACT [Sections 4, 6 and 11] and the PUBLIC SAFETY AND SOLICITOR GENERAL (GIFT CARD CERTAINTY) STATUTES AMENDMENT ACT, 2008 [Section 24]. Order in Council 808/2008, approved and ordered November 6, 2008.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective January 1, 2009,

(

a) section 15 of the Public Safety and Solicitor General (Gift Card Certainty) Statutes Amendment Act , 2008, S.B.C. 2008, c. 15, is brought into force,

(

b) the Commercial Transport Regulations, B.C. Reg. 30/78, are amended as set out in the attached Appendix,

(

c) the Commercial Transport Fees Regulation, B.C. Reg. 328/91, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix,

(

d) the Commercial Vehicle Exemption Authorization Regulation, B.C. Reg. 157/98, is repealed, and

(

e) order in council 253/60 is repealed.

Appendix

1 The Commercial Transport Regulations, B.C. Reg. 30/78, are amended

(

a) by striking out

section 6.02 (2) (

b) and substituting:

(

b) intrajurisdictional movement of a commercial vehicle with a licensed gross vehicle weight of less than 11 794 kg; and

(

b) in

section 9.02 by striking out "and the Canadian Agreement on Vehicle Registration".

2 The Commercial Transport Fees Regulation, B.C. Reg. 328/91, is amended in

section 1 in item 4 of the

Schedule

(

a) by striking out "the Canadian Agreement on Vehicle Registration or" in the introduction, and

(

b) by striking out paragraph (b).
