OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Finance dated June 4, 2010, and pursuant to Sections 5, 113B and 113E of

Chapter 231 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Insurance Act, and

Section 8 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act, is pleased, effective on and after July 1, 2010, to (

a) amend the Automobile Insurance Tort Recovery Limitation Regulations, N.S. Reg. 182/2003, made by the Governor in Council by Order in Council 2003-457 dated October 31, 2003, to remove all provisions relating to the minor injury cap, in the manner set forth in

Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; and (

b) approve of new regulations respecting the minor injury cap rules relating to accidents which occur on or after April 28, 2010, and incorporating the previous rules relating to accidents which occurred before April 28, 2010, in the form set forth in

Schedule "B" attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation.
