OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated January 24, 2006, and pursuant to
Section 84 of
Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act,
Section 18 of
Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the
Interpretation Act,
Section 2 of
Chapter 377 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Superannuation Act, and
Section 10 of
Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, and all other authority in him vested, is pleased to, effective February 15, 2006: (
a) appoint Duff Montgomerie as Acting Assistant Chief Executive Officer and Assistant Deputy Minister, Office of Health Promotion; (
b) designate Duff Montgomerie as deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act in the performance of his duties that have been and may be from time to time delegated to him pursuant to
Section 84 of the Public Service Act; (
c) direct that Duff Montgomerie shall received all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan; (
d) designate Duff Montgomerie to be and to have been an employee for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act; (
e) fix and determine the terms and conditions of appointment of Duff Montgomerie to be as determined from time to time by Treasury and Policy Board; and (
f) direct that Duff Montgomerie is eligible for pay for performance in accordance with the Pay for Performance for Senior Officials Policy.
