PREPAID CONTRACTING BUSINESS LICENSING

AMENDMENT REGULATION

Made by the Minister of Municipal Affairs (M.O. H:045/97) pursuant to

section 4(1)(

b) of the Licensing of Trades and Businesses Act.

1 The Prepaid Contracting Business Licensing Regulation (AR 314/82) is

amended by this Regulation.

Section 1(3) is repealed and the following is substituted:

(3) Subsection (1) does not apply

(

a) to a contract for the construction of a home where

the contract is covered by the Alberta New Home Warranty Program,

(

b) to a contract for the drilling of a well as defined

in the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act by a person approved

under that Act, or to a contract for the maintenance of such a well, or

(

c) to a contract for the renovation of a home where

the contract is covered by the National Home Warranty Programs.
