Order in Council 446/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 463/2014, dated March 19, 2014, Joseph Vincent Nicholas Hawkes was appointed as Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police, effective from the 29th day of March 2014, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not to exceed three years from the effective date of his appointment;

And

whereas it is desirable that Joseph Vincent Nicholas Hawkes be reappointed as Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police;

Therefore pursuant to subsection 17(1) of the Police Services Act , as amended, Joseph Vincent Nicholas Hawkes is hereby reappointed as Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police, effective from the 29th day of March 2017, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a further period not to exceed three years from the effective date of this reappointment.
