1 The Alberta Energy Regulator Administration Fees Rules

(AR 98/2013) are amended by this Regulation.

Section 2(2) is amended by striking out "2015-16 fiscal year

is December 31, 2014" and substituting "2016-17 fiscal year is

December 31, 2015".

Section 3(2) is repealed and the following is substituted:

(2) For the 2016-17 fiscal year, the annual adjustment factor is

3.840193.

Section 4 is amended

(

a) in subsection (1) by striking "2014 calendar year" and

substituting "2015 calendar year";

(

Marketing of Agricultural Products Act

SUGAR BEET PRODUCTION AND MARKETING

AMENDMENT REGULATION

For information only: Made by the Alberta Sugar Beet Growers on February 24,

2016 and approved by the Alberta Agricultural Products Marketing Council on

February 29, 2016 pursuant to sections 26 and 27 of the Marketing of Agricultural

Products Act.

1 The Sugar Beet Production and Marketing Regulation

(AR 287/97) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 1 is amended by adding the following after

clause (d):

(d.1) "crop year" means a 12-month period commencing on

January 1 and terminating on December 31 of that same

calendar year;

Section 19 is amended by adding the following after

subsection (2):

(3) For the purposes of the 2015 crop year, a licensed processor who

receives the regulated product from a licensed producer must deduct

from the second payment due to the licensed producer an additional

service charge of $8 per acre of the regulated product received and

forward that service charge to the Board.

PLAN AMENDMENT REGULATION

section 23 of the Marketing of Agricultural Products

Act.

1 The Alberta Peace Region Forage Seed Growers Plan

Regulation (AR 91/2004) is amended by this Regulation.

Section 10(1) is amended by repealing clause (

a) and

substituting the following:

(

a) this Plan is to be financed

(

i) by the charging and collection of service charges from

producers, and

(ii) by any other money payable to or received or accrued

by the Commission;

Section 23 is amended by striking out "25 eligible

producers" and substituting "15 eligible producers".

Section 33 is amended by adding the following after

subsection (3):

(4) An eligible producer may appoint any person as a proxy to vote

on the individual's behalf if the individual appointing the proxy

deposits with the returning officer before the vote is to be held the

document under which the proxy is appointed.

(5) A person may not act as a proxy for more than one individual in

respect of the same vote.

Section 38 is amended by striking out "May 31, 2016" and

substituting "May 31, 2021".

1 The Beekeepers Commission of Alberta Plan Regulation

(AR 59/2006) is amended by this Regulation.

2 The title is repealed and the following is substituted:

PLAN REGULATION

Section 1 is amended

(

a) by repealing clause (

f) and substituting the

following:

(f) "Commission" means the commission established under

section 8 with the name "Alberta Beekeepers

Commission";

(

b) by repealing clause (

q) and substituting the

following:

(q) "producer" means a person who maintains colonies of

bees;

(

c) by repealing clause (

s) and substituting the

following:

(s) "regulated product" means colonies of bees;

Section 4 is repealed and the following is substituted:

Establishment of Plan

4 There is hereby established a plan with the name "Alberta

Beekeepers Commission Plan".

Section 6 is amended

(

a) by repealing subsection (1)(b)(iii) and substituting

the following:

(iii) maintain colonies of bees in Alberta.

(

b) by repealing subsection (2) and substituting the

following:

(2) Subject to subsection (1)(b)(iii), this Plan does not apply to

producers with respect to any regulated product that is produced

(

a) on land not located in Alberta, or

(

b) by a producer who maintains fewer than 100 colonies of

bees.

Section 8 is repealed and the following is substituted:

Establishment of Commission

8 There is hereby established a Commission with the name

"Alberta Beekeepers", which is hereby continued with the name

"Alberta Beekeepers Commission".

Section 11(1)(

e) is repealed and the following is

substituted:

(

e) respecting the circumstances, if any, under which a service

charge may be refunded to a producer;

Section 12(1) is repealed and the following is

substituted:

Financing of Plan

12(1) In accordance with the regulations,

(

a) this Plan is to be financed by

(

i) the charging and collection of service charges from

producers, and

(ii) by any other money payable to or received or accrued

by the Commission;

(

b) every producer who has 100 or more colonies of bees shall

pay a service charge;

(

c) the Commission may vary the amount of the service charge if

the variation of the service charge is approved

(

i) by a majority of the eligible producers at an annual

Commission meeting or a special Commission meeting,

and

(ii) by the Council.

Section 27(1) is amended

(

a) by repealing clause (b);

(

b) in clause (

c) by striking out "one director" and

substituting "2 directors".

10 The heading "Part 4, Transitional Provision,

Review and Repeal" is repealed and the following is

substituted:

Review

Section 41 is repealed.

Section 42 is amended by striking out "May 31, 2016"

and substituting "May 31, 2021".

13 The

Schedule is amended

(

a) in item 1 by striking out "Region 1 is made up of" and

substituting "Region 1 (South) is made up of";

(

b) in item 2 by striking out "Region 2 is made up of" and
