This Bill amends the Act to specify that, when possible, the distance must be at least one metre when passing a bicycle o r a power-assisted bicycle.

Le Code de la route oblige les conducteurs à maintenir une distance sécuritaire lorsqu'ils dépassent des véhicules ou des bicyclettes. a) by replacing clause (

a) with the following: (

a) shall pass to the left of the vehicle or bicycle at a safe distance, and in the case of overtaking a bicycle or power-assisted bicycle, shall to the extent possible maintain at least a one-metre separation between the vehicle and the bicycle or power-assisted bicycle; and (

b) in clause (

b) of the French version, by striking out "suffisante du véhicule ou une " and substituting "sécuritaire du véhicule ou de la ". 2(1) Le paragraphe 114(1) est modifié :
