LOI SUR LA STRATÉGIE EN MATIÈRE D'HABITATION COOPÉRATIVE Moved by the Honourable Mr. Bjornson Motion de M. le ministre Bjornson THAT Clause of the Bill be amended by replacing everything after the principle "Consultation" with the following: Cooperative Advantage: To promote cooperative housing, it is necessary to profile the advantages of the member and community benefits specific to housing cooperatives, a distinct type of housing. Diversification: To stimulate the cooperative housing sector, it is necessary to diversify the sector to include a variety of financial and organizational models for cooperative housing, such as (

a) residential housing provided by housing cooperatives on a not for profit basis; (

b) residential housing provided by housing cooperatives on a for profit basis, including on the basis of full, limited or shared equity member participation; and (

c) residential housing provided by housing cooperatives with multiple classes of membership shares and a diverse membership base. a) the variety of financial and organizational models for cooperative housing; and (
