Statute: Peggy’s Cove Commission Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Business dated July 7, 2016, and pursuant to

Section 4 of

Chapter 339 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Peggy’s Cove Commission Act , is pleased to: (

a) appoint John Campbell of Halifax Regional Municipality (Peggy’s Cove), Aonghus Garrison of Halifax Regional Municipality (Peggy’s Cove), Gary Logan of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) and Peter Richardson of Halifax Regional Municipality (Peggy’s Cove) as members of the Peggy’s Cove Commission for a term of four (4) years commencing August 2, 2016; (

b) designate John Campbell of Halifax Regional Municipality (Peggy’s Cove) as Chairman and Gary Logan of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as Vice-chairman of the Peggy’s Cove Commission; (

c) determine the remuneration of members of the Peggy’s Cove Commission to be $35 per half day of attendance at meetings plus reimbursement for travel expenses related to meetings, provided such expenses do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service; and (

d) determine the remuneration of the Chairman of the Peggy’s Cove Commission to be $50 per half day of attendance at meetings plus reimbursement for travel expenses related to meetings, provided such expenses do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service.
