Statute: Expropriation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Public Works dated June 3, 2025, and pursuant to

Section 80 of

Chapter 156 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Expropriation Act , is pleased to: (

a) authorize the conveyance of the parcel of surplus land, identified as Parcel A being a portion of PID 50142090, containing an area of 2,414 square metres (0.60 acres), located at or near Dunmore Road, Port Hood, Inverness County, more particularly described in

Schedule “A” and as shown on

Schedule “B” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation to the Municipality of the County of Inverness for a total purchase price of $30,000; (

b) authorize the Minister of Public Works to make and execute a Deed of Conveyance in such form as the Minister determines to effect the conveyance of the land herein above described; and (

c) authorize the Minister of Public Works to execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
