Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act,

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act,

Section 2 of

Chapter 377 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Superannuation Act, and

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, and all authority in her vested, is pleased to, effective February 19, 2007: \x09(a)\x09accept the resignation dated August 31, 2006 and revoke the appointment of Richard C.J. Nurse as Public Service Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Immigration; \x09(b)\x09revoke the appointment of Rosalind C.

Penfound as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Fisheries and Aquaculture; \x09(c)\x09revoke the appointment of Paul LaFleche as Secretary to the Executive Council and Clerk of the Executive Council; \x09(d)\x09revoke the appointment of Duff Montgomerie as Acting Assistant Deputy Minister of Health Promotion and Protection; \x09(e)\x09appoint Robert Fowler as Secretary to the Executive Council and Clerk of the Executive Council; \x09(f)\x09appoint Judith Sullivan-Corney as Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs; \x09(g)\x09appoint Rosalind C.

Penfound as Public Service Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Immigration, who may be referred to as the Deputy Minister of Immigration; \x09(h)\x09appoint Paul LaFleche as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Fisheries and Aquaculture, who may be referred to as the Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture; \x09(i) \x09appoint Duff Montgomerie as Deputy Minister of Health Promotion and Protection; \x09(j)\x09appoint Alastair Saunders as Assistant Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs; \x09(k)\x09appoint Greg Roach as Assistant Deputy Minister of the Office of Fisheries and Aquaculture; \x09(l)\x09fix and determine the salaries of Rosalind C.

Penfound, Paul LaFleche and Duff Montgomerie to be at such rate as may be determined from time to time by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the pay plan approved by the Executive Council for Deputy Ministers from time to time; \x09(m)\x09fix and determine the salaries of Alastair Saunders and Greg Roach to be at such rate as may be determined from time to time by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the pay plan approved by Executive Council for Assistant Deputy Ministers from time to time; \x09(n)\x09designate Rosalind C.

Penfound, Paul LaFleche and Duff Montgomerie as deputy heads within the meaning of the Civil Service Act; \x09(o)\x09designate Alastair Saunders and Greg Roach as deputy heads within the meaning of the Civil Service Act in the performance of the duties that have been or may be from time to time delegated to them pursuant to

Section 84 of the Public Service Act; \x09(p) \x09direct that Rosalind C. Penfound, Paul LaFleche, Duff Montgomerie, Alastair Saunders and Greg Roach shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan; and \x09(q)\x09designate Paul LaFleche, Duff Montgomerie, Rosalind C. Penfound, Alastair Saunders and Greg Roach to be and to have been employees for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act.
