Order in Council 891/2020

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas pursuant to

section 4 of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities Act and

section 6.1 of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade Act , a Special Implementation Team on Intellectual Property (“Implementation Team”) was established by Order in Council for a period not exceeding two years from the date of that Order in Council;

And

whereas the members of the Implementation Team shall be jointly appointed at the pleasure of the Minister of Colleges and Universities and the Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade for terms not exceeding two years from the date the Implementation Team was established;

Now therefore , pursuant to

section 4 of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities Act and

section 6.1 of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade Act :

The Chair of the Implementation Team shall not be paid any remuneration;

Each Implementation Team member, other than the Chair, who is an employee of a designated broader public sector organization as defined under the Broader Public Sector Accountability Act, 2010, shall not be paid any remuneration;

Each Implementation Team member, other than the Chair, who is not an employee of a designated broader public sector organization as defined under the Broader Public Sector Accountability Act, 2010 , shall be remunerated at a rate of $200 per diem provided that the remuneration for each such member shall not exceed $16,800 in each year of the term of each appointment; and

All members of the Implementation Team shall be reimbursed for all reasonable expenses incurred while engaged in the business of the Implementation Team in accordance with the Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive and any other relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board/Management Board of Cabinet.
