Order in Council 949/2020

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Minister of Children, Community and Social Services exercised their powers to appoint a supervisor under subsections 44 (1) and (3) of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017 (the Act) , to operate and manage the affairs and activities of The Children’s Aid Society of Brant (operating as Brant Family and Children’s Services) (the Society), effective July 12, 2019 for a period not exceeding one year;

And

whereas the Minister wishes to appoint a supervisor for a period exceeding one year from the effective date;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 46 (2) of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017 , the valid period for an appointment of a supervisor by the Minister to operate and manage the affairs and activities of the Society is extended to July 11, 2021.
