OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Halifax-Dartmouth Bridge Commission Act dated February 4, 2009, and pursuant to Sections 3, 4 and 6 of

Chapter 7 of the Acts of 2005, the Halifax-Dartmouth Bridge Commission Act, is pleased to: (

a) reappoint G. Russell Hatton of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Halifax-Dartmouth Bridge Commission for a term of two years, commencing March 14, 2009; (

b) determine remuneration for G. Russell Hatton as a member of the Halifax-Dartmouth Bridge Commission to be $3,600 per year plus expenses; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against the above appointee of the Halifax-Dartmouth Bridge Commission and indemnify him from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
