Order in Council 918/2021

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario has, by an Address presented to the Lieutenant Governor in Council on the 1 st day of June , 2021 requested the appointment of Dr. Kieran Moore as Chief Medical Officer of Health for the Province of Ontario commencing the earlier of the date the office becomes vacant or September 2, 2021;

And

whereas the office will become vacant on June 26, 2021, on the retirement of the current Chief Medical Officer of Health;

Therefore , pursuant to subsection 81 (1) of the Health Protection and Promotion Act ,

Dr. Kieran Moore

And that Order in Council O.C. 1640/2020, dated December 3, 2020, be revoked on the effective date of this appointment.
