Executive Council
1(1) The President of Executive Council is designated as the Minister
responsible for the following enactments:
(
a) Alberta Order of Excellence Act;
(
b) Constitutional Referendum Act;
(
c) Family Day Act;
(
d) section 11 of the Government Organization Act and sections
2 to 7 of
Schedule 6 to the Government Organization Act.
(2) The President of Executive Council and the Minister of Economic
Development, Trade and Tourism are designated as the Ministers with
common responsibility for
section 1 of
Schedule 6 to the Government
Organization Act.
(3) The President of Executive Council is designated as the Minister
responsible for the administration of the Regulatory Review
Secretariat.
(4) The responsibility for the parts of the public service associated
with the appropriations transferred under subsection (5) is transferred
to the President of Executive Council.
(5) The responsibility for the administration of the unexpended
balance of the following portions of the 2019-2020 Government
appropriation (interim supply special warrant) for Economic
Development and Trade is transferred to the President of Executive
Council:
(
a) the portion of program 3, Trade and Investment Attraction,
associated with internal trade;
(
b) the portion of program 1, Ministry Support Services,
associated with the portion of program 3 associated with
internal trade.
Advanced Education
2(1) The Minister of Advanced Education is designated as the
Minister responsible for the following enactments:

a) Access to the Future Act;

b) Alberta Heritage Scholarship Act;
(
c) Apprenticeship and Industry Training Act;
(

and Rural Development Grant Regulation (AR 58/98) continue to be
transferred to the responsibility of the Minister of Agriculture and
Forestry.
Children's Services
4(1) The Minister of Children's Services is designated as the Minister
responsible for the following enactments:

a) Child Care Licensing Act;

b) Child and Youth Advocate Act;
(
c) Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act, except sections
128(1)(
a) and (3) and 131(2)(b);
(

(

(2) The Minister of Children's Services, the Minister of Community

(3) The powers, duties and functions of the Minister in the Human
Services Grants Regulation (AR 25/2016) are transferred to the

5(1) The Minister of Community and Social Services is designated as
the Minister responsible for the following enactments:

(4) The Minister of Community and Social Services, the Minister of
Advanced Education and the Minister of Labour and Immigration
(
a) are designated as the Ministers with common responsibility
for the Income and Employment Supports Act, except

(
b) together with the Minister of Health, are designated as the

Culture, Multiculturalism and Status of Women
6(1) The Minister of Culture, Multiculturalism and Status of Women
is designated as the Minister responsible for the following enactments:

(

(
c) Alberta Sport Connection Act;
(
d) Emblems of Alberta Act;
(

(

responsibility of the Minister of Culture, Multiculturalism and Status
of Women.
(3) The responsibility for the parts of the public service associated
with the appropriations transferred under subsection (4) is transferred
to the Minister of Culture, Multiculturalism and Status of Women.
(4) The responsibility for the administration of the unexpended
balance of the following appropriations is transferred to the Minister of
Culture, Multiculturalism and Status of Women:
(
a) the 2019-2020 Government appropriation (interim supply
special warrant) for Culture and Tourism, except program 7,
Tourism, and the portion of program 1, Ministry Support
Services, associated with program 7;
(
b) of the 2019-2020 Government appropriation (interim supply
special warrant) for Education, the portion of element 1.4,
Information and Program Services, of program 1, Ministry
Support Services, associated with the Anti-racism
Secretariat;
(
c) the 2019-2020 Government appropriation (interim supply
special warrant) for Status of Women.
Economic Development, Trade and Tourism
7(1) The Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Tourism is
designated as the Minister responsible for the following enactments:
(
a) Alberta Competitiveness Act;
(
b) Alberta Enterprise Corporation Act;
(
c) Alberta Research and Innovation Act;
(
d) Interactive Digital Media Tax Credit Act;
(

as being the powers, duties or functions of the Minister of Finance or
the Minister of Finance and Enterprise continue to be transferred to the
responsibility of the President of Treasury Board and Minister of
Finance.
(5) The responsibility for the parts of the public service associated
with the appropriations transferred under subsection (6) is transferred
to the President of Executive Council.
(6) The responsibility for the administration of the unexpended
balance of the following portions of the 2019-2020 Government
appropriation (interim supply special warrant) for Infrastructure is
transferred to the President of Treasury Board and Minister of Finance:
(
a) the portion of element 2.4, Capital Planning, of program 2,
Capital Construction, associated with strategic capital
planning;
(
b) the portion of program 1, Ministry Support Services,
associated with the portion of element 2.4 of program 2
associated with strategic capital planning.
Interpretation
21(1) In sections 1(5), 6(4), 7(4), 15(5) and 20(6), "interim supply
special warrant" means the special warrant issued pursuant to order in
council numbered O.C. 085/2019.
(2) In sections 1(5), 6(4), 7(4) and 20(6), a reference to an element or
program is a reference to the element or program as described in the
2018-2019 Government Estimates.
Repeal
22 The Designation and Transfer of Responsibility Regulation
(AR 80/2012) is repealed.
