OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Economic Development dated September 14, 2004, and pursuant to Sections 6 and 7 of
Chapter 20 of the Acts of 1990, the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation Act, is pleased to: (
a) appoint Wayne Mason of Waverley, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation for a term of three (3) years commencing October 1, 2004 and ending September 30, 2007; (
b) appoint Richard J. Hebb of RR#7 Bridgewater, Lunenburg County, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation for a term of three (3) years commencing October 1, 2004 and ending September 30, 2007; (
c) authorize the payment to members of the Board in the amount of $100 per day, plus reasonable expenses, for meetings; and (
d) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against the above appointees of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation and indemnify them from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
