OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated October 13, 2005, and pursuant to
Section 4B of
Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act,
Section 18 of
Chapter 235 of the said Revised Statutes, the
Interpretation Act,
Section 2 of
Chapter 377 of the said Revised Statutes, the Public Service Superannuation Act, and
Section 10 of
Chapter 70 of the said Revised Statutes, the Civil Service Act, and all other authority in him vested, is pleased to, effective September 28, 2005: (
a) appoint Wayn Hamilton as Chief Executive Officer of the Office of African Nova Scotian Affairs; (
b) designate Wayn Hamilton as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act; (
c) direct that he shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan; (
d) designate Wayn Hamilton to be and to have been an employee for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act; and (
e) fix and determine the salary of Wayn Hamilton to be paid at such rate as may be determined from time to time by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the MCP 30 pay plan.
