B.C. Reg. 32/2018 , deposited March 7, 2018, under the EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS ACT [section 127]. Order in Council 94/2018, approved and ordered March 7, 2018.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Employment Standards Regulation, B.C. Reg. 396/95, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

Section 1 (1) of the Employment Standards Regulation, B.C. Reg. 396/95, is amended by repealing the definition of “first aid attendant” and substituting the following:

“first aid attendant” means a person who

(

a) is a first aid attendant within the meaning of

section 3.14 of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, and

(

b) is employed by an employer who is required to provide first aid services under the Workers Compensation Act ; .

Section 31 is amended

(

a) in paragraph (

f) by striking out “ engineer in training under the bylaws of the council of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists ” and substituting “ engineer-in-training under the bylaws of the council of The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists ”, and

(

b) by repealing paragraphs (

h) and (

o) and substituting the following:

(

h) a practising land surveyor, land surveyor associate or land surveyor in training as those terms are defined in the Land Surveyors Act ,

(

o) a registrant of the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia continued under the Veterinarians Act , or .

Section 32 (1) (

g) is repealed.

Section 37.11 is amended by striking out “ Block I, II or III of the “peace officer basic training program” as defined in

section 1 of B.C. Reg. 109/81. ” and substituting “ the Police recruit training program as defined in Subject 2.1.1 of the Provincial Policing Standards as established under

section 40 (1) (a.1) of the Police Act and as amended from time to time. ”.

Section 48 is amended by adding “ of the Adjudication Division ” after “ Associate Chair ”.
