OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Environment and Climate Change and the Minister of Natural Resources and Renewables dated November 29, 2023, and pursuant to

Section 14 of

Chapter 438 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Special Places Protection Act , is pleased to approve the designation by the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, effective on and after December 19, 2023, of: (

a) an ecological site to be known as Cap La Ronde Nature Reserve, in the form set forth in

Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (

b) an ecological site to be known as East River St. Marys Nature Reserve, in the form set forth in

Schedule “B” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (

c) an ecological site to be known as Harpers Lake Nature Reserve, in the form set forth in

Schedule “C” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (

d) an ecological site to be known as Long Lake Bog Nature Reserve, in the form set forth in

Schedule “D” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (

e) an ecological site to be known as Minard Brook Nature Reserve, in the form set forth in

Schedule “E” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (

f) an ecological site to be known as Mulgrave Hills Nature Reserve, in the form set forth in

Schedule “F” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (

g) an ecological site to be known as Point Michaud Nature Reserve, in the form set forth in

Schedule “G” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (

h) an addition to Ponhook Lake Nature Reserve ecological site designation, N.S. Reg. 207/1992, originally designated by the Minister of Education and approved by the Governor in Council by Order in Council 92-942 dated September 22, 1992, in the form set forth in

Schedule “H” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (

i) an ecological site to be known as Sugar Harbour Islands Nature Reserve, in the form set forth in

Schedule “I” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; and (

j) an ecological site to be known as Tobacco Island Nature Reserve, in the form set forth in

Schedule “J” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation.
